This organisation make meditation accessible to all  - your own personal views on religion are not questioned or challenged... here are the details:

MEDITATION IN EVERYDAY LIFE: A CITY RETREAT

    Dec 30 – Jan 4

The London Shambhala Meditation Centre will run a City Retreat on the theme of MEDITATION IN EVERYDAY LIFE starting 9.30am Tuesday December 30th and ending 6pm on Sunday January 4th.

Open to all, both beginning and also experienced meditators, this represents an excellent chance for us to meet up at the turning of the year, and refresh our meditation practice.

While attendance for the whole retreat is encouraged, some will have other commitments and may wish to attend on a “drop-in” basis.

We start each day at 9.30 am and finish at 6pm. There will be guided meditation instruction each morning. Lunch is provided, and tea in the afternoons.

Daily teachings on the theme of Meditation in Everyday Life will be given in the afternoon session by the two directors, James O’Neill and Peter Conradi, who are long-term students of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.

Opportunities for individual meditation instruction, and for discussion groups alike, will be built in.

The suggested charge is £75 for the entire six-day programme if you register and pay a £20 deposit before Dec 19: please write CITY RETREAT on the envelope. This includes daily lunch, tea and a final celebration. The suggested price per day for “drop-in” attendees is £20. Concessions available : please approach the Coordinator Simon Spiller.

For further information please e-mail cityretreat@shambhala.org.uk <mailto:cityretreat@shambhala.org.uk> or telephone Peter or Jim on either 0207-622-0607 or 01547-560-377; Simon on 079196-77795.
