    Metabolloxed - Industrial Strength London - Saturday 12th April

     

    Apologies to all those who didn't even know about this predominantly bodyweight strength and metabolic conditioning session.

     

    My outbound email let me down right before i went away for a few days. So next time we get the kettlebells out  I will ensure all my comms are working fine and we all get the opportunity to enjoy.

    Phill Ireland had the bright idea of doing a session based around one sided exercises. What followed exposed our asymmetries and weaknesses...it also kicked our butts. 

    After a lengthy time spent drinking green tea and catching up we finally got started on joint mobility which we took care of ourselves before heading into several circuits. Each exercise was performed for 1 minute duration, although we worked hard at it each of us maintained discipline and held our form....just!

    1. RIGHT SIDE single leg squat thrust, kettlebell clean, 3 legged dog, LEFT SIDE single leg squat thrust, kettlebell clean, 3 legged dog, RIGHT SIDE single leg squat thrust, kettlebell clean, 3 legged dog, LEFT SIDE single leg squat thrust, kettlebell clean, 3 legged dog,

     

    2.  RIGHT SIDE One leg support kettlebell clean and hold a press, 1 legged deck squat with single leg squat jump, single arm pump LEFT SIDE One leg support kettlebell clean and hold a press, 1 legged deck squat with single leg squat jump, single arm pump

    3. side plank reach under and through, ju jitsu bridge, opposite side plank and reach through, Rocky with a twist.

     

    no rest between drills, minimal rest between sides.

     Somewhere in this session we also did one legged burpees with 1 legged tuck jumps - NASTY! but in all the confusion I cant rightly remember where ??

    Metabolic overload lead to intellectual melt down! We were Metabolloxed!!
